Guide to Hand-Painted Special Effect Contact Lenses

The scariest, creepiest, and ghoulish theatrical special effect costume lenses have always been available in the film industry (and to regular if not slightly off-beat folks who ignore the expense and buy them anyway).

Recently, CoastalContacts.com, one of the largest online contact lens retailers in the world, introduced a new line of hand-painted Halloween contacts that will be sure to satisfy even the most discriminating fiends. They're a little more expensive than the regular special FX contacts but they make a real statement.

Just look at these lenses!

Black Sclera is a creepy full scleral lens that reminds you of all alien possession movies ever made. More
halloween contact lenses Tempest is an interesting lens ideal for cosplay fans. Features red iris with black veins. More
halloween contact lenses Gargoyle is a sexy pink contact lens for fans of the immortals. More
halloween contact lenses S Uchiha, well looks about as red and demented as they get. Perfect for a psychotic vampire. More
halloween contact lenses Skeletal Teeth. Your guess at which costume fits this lens best, Definitely unique. More
halloween contact lenses Medusa is a full on scleral lens that shows off your reptilian side. More
halloween contact lenses Underworld is designed to imitate the contacts worn in the movie Underworld. Cool and sexy. More
halloween contact lenses Dragon is another reptilian lens that has a somewhat pissed-off, don't-mess-with-me quality. More
halloween contact lenses Pyro is the lunatic's dream. More
halloween contact lenses Susccubus is a sexy pink contact lens with an extra dark center. More

As you can see a few of these lenses are full scleral lenses, that is they cover both the iris and the whites of your eyes. They are also trickier to insert so follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer.

All these lenses are FDA approved and should last you several years if you follow the proper care and cleaning instructions.

So what about the cost? A pair of these hand painted lenses will run you between $200 and $400, depending on the design (scleral lenses cost more than conventional iris-only type lenses). They take about one week to create plus a few days for delivery. Shipping is free however, and you should consider placing your order the first week of October so you'll have them in time for haunting at the end of the month.
