Try Violet Contact Lenses for a Spring Fresh Look (Video)
Lenses in this shade can give you a striking or subtle change depending on the brand, as well as look different depending on your natural eye color and lighting. On very dark/black eyes, violet lenses can look grey and sometimes light brown in different lights, which is very pretty. Some dramatic violet lenses, like Violet Venom, really stand out. Violet Lenses for Dark and Light EyesIf you have dark eyes, the good news is violet may be a good color for you! So, what are your options?

Click here for more Clearly Colors Clearly Colors is a brand from Coastal Contacts and unlike Freshlook, are vial contact lenses. They can be worn up to a year if cleaned and stored correctly as per your eye doctor's instructions. Cost: less than $20 per lens. If you have blue or green eyes, you may find that the Freshlook violet lenses don't give you enough of change to purple. For blue eyes, the change may be to a slightly different shade of blue, for example. Only a dramatic violet lens like Clearly Colors Violet Venom will really shake things up. Can You Predict the Exact Color?Alas, you can't predict exactly how violet lenses will look on your eyes. You have to try them. Thankfully, Freshlook contacts are two-week disposable lenses that are not that expensive. Your eye doctor may also be able to get you a trial pair to try first. (Trial lenses often have "TRIAL" stamped on the lens somewhere so you can't wear them out of the doc's office. They're purely for testing the color.) Clearly Colors is an inexpensive brand of vial lenses (not disposable). One lens is less than $20. You could try one lens to see if the color works for you without much expense. Some of the negative reviews of purple, violet or lavender contacts are: muddy purple-brown color, or pinky gray tints around the iris, large pupil hole shows too much of natural color underneath. Or the dramatic color is too cartoon-like and unnatural. (Well, violet is technically an "unnatural color" so there's no getting around that one.)
Please note: contact lenses, even if worn for cosmetic reasons, are medical devices that should be worn under the prescription, direction, and supervision of an eye care professional.
