Guide to Gray Contact Lenses—Go Romantic or Exotic

Welcome to our guide to gray contact lenses. Gray is a romantic contact lens color that suggests the mysterious and exotic.

Gray lenses also hit the hot list with Lady Gaga in her Bad Romance video. Gray works well on just about everyone no matter what your natural coloring.

Gray Circle Lenses—FDA Approved

Circle lenses, first made popular in Korea for fans of anime and cosplay, are considered oversize lenses. In actual fact, the lenses below have diameters of 14.0 and 14.5 which makes them fairly typical in size for contact lenses. What makes the lenses look bigger, are dark outer rings (in various thicknesses). The only FDA approved circle lenses we've found (approved for sale in the U.S.), are made by Marietta Vision and are available from AC Lens.

Remember as with all contact lenses, these lenses require a prescription from your eye doctor, even if you want them for cosmetic reasons.

Gaga Contacts

Actually a brown lens which fades into a thick black outer edge.

How to Get a Prescription for Gray Colored Contacts

In the United States, a prescription is required for colored contact lenses under the Federal Fairness to Contact Lens Consumers Act. Even for colored contacts with no vision correction, you must have a prescription in the U.S.

If you are from Canada or elsewhere, you may not be subject to the same consumer laws. However, we strongly suggest that you be fitted for color contacts by an eye care practitioner.

In cases where the manufacturer or supplier is a non-U.S. company, you may not have to provide your prescription when placing your order. However, it is your responsibility to see an eye doctor and be properly fitted for contact lenses.

ive tried various colored lenses and the best and most comfortable have been freshlook colourblends.i have naturally dark brown eyes and first tried some bausch and lomb lenses in platinum which were a lovely transformation to an cool grey with a dark limbal ring, unfortunatley they were quite uncomfotable so tried the freshlook colourblends in grey, although they dont stand out as much, they are comfotable and make a very natural change to my eye colour.they blend nicely eg when you pupil changes size u can see a bit of my natural eye colour but it looks ok with these.
